Today I drove to Brookdale to pick up Bill for a ride. We drove to his house, got out his trike, aired up the tires, and we took off from his driveway. I was pedaling like everything and not moving - I thought I was in a very low gear, but my chain was off. So I was in no gear. I put the chain back on then chased down Bill. Bill wanted to climb the hill on Wembley Road, so we climbed the hill. We had a good talk about several things while we road. Once finished we put up the trike and went back to Brookdale.
After that I drove to Petco and took care of Monday - the yellow tabby that is left. She is very friendly and very playful.
Then I drove to Cleveland Park and took off up the trail. I stopped at the Swamp Rabbit Cafe and stopped for lunch. I had a sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich with a peach princess smoothie - peaches, blueberries, honey, milk, and cinnamon. Then I headed up the trail and felt like I was really fighting the wind. I think that happens when my legs are tired. I was on the Surly that is heavy, but I think that my legs are just tired. I turned around in travelers Rest across from the Tandem Creperie. My speed picked up down the trail but it was still a struggle. That’s how it is sometimes. I stopped at Watkins Bridge Road where the rider was killed on Saturday. It has made me more conscious of crossing the streets.
