I left early this morning on the Surly and rode through Cleveland Park and Falls Park to meet the SR Casual Riders at the Swamp Rabbit Cafe. Jeff texted that he had a tire problem and wouldn't come. Steve S texted that he had a flat and wouldn't make it. Six of us left the cafe - Joe, Randy, Bob, Greg, Lisa, and me. I was getting texts from Jeff all the way up the trail. Bob's knee was sore and he turned back at TR and Randy went with him. We made it to the Sunoco station at the north end and Lisa and I rode to the very end. We took some pix and met the others at the Sunoco. We rode back down the trail and met Jeff south of Furman. We rode back to the Swamp Rabbit Cafe where Greg left. Joe and Lisa rode together to Mac's Speed Shop while I went with Jeff so he could ride the sidewalks. We ran into Kristin and Elizabeth with their friend Brian. They were riding but didn't want to ride as early as the SR Casual Riders. Jeff and I made it to Mac's and we placed our orders and got our drinks. I had a cobb salad and burnt brisket tips. We ate and talked for a good while, then Jeff headed home. But Joe promised Lisa that we'd go back to Hampton Station to the axe throwing place and throw axes. We threw 4 games of 21 and one short game. I won two, then Lisa won one, I won another one, and Joe won the short game. Joe and Lisa headed back to the cafe while I headed for home.
