Today I drove Meghan and her bike to the railroad car at Furman. We left there with me on the Trek and headed north toward Travelers Rest. I had just installed her front and rear blinkies, water cage and bottle, and a frame pump and holder. We saw a groundhog about 1/2 mile into the ride. I saw Noel and Ramona headed south as we were headed north. We were passed by Ken’s Sunday ride group in Travelers Rest - Steve S, Ken, Bill D, Mark, Kimberly, and then Susan after we had stopped at the Gazebo for some water. We headed back south and Ken passed us at Roe Ford Road. We were stopped so I introduced Ken and Meghan and we talked a short bit. Ken was headed home early as his daughter was having a gender reveal party for her upcoming child. Farther south we met Noel and Ramona and we stopped for introductions. We rode to the pocket park and stopped for a drink and refill on the bottles then we headed back north to Fuman. Ten miles is the farthest that Meghan has ridden to date.
