I left home on the Straggler and realized that I left my drinks at home about a 1/4 mile out, so I went back and got them. I had just turned onto Atwood Street when I thought I saw Don Hudson drive by and turn into his drive. I went back and Don and Elissa are home, cleaning out their house as they sold it. I talked to Don and texted Jeff that I was coming but would be late. Elissa came out and hugged the stuffing out of me. We talked a good bit then said good-bye. They are leaving town Saturday and heading back to France the following Saturday. I don't know if I'll ever see them again. Jeff texted for me to meet him at the Commons. I rode over there but couldn't find him. I spoke with officer Mike and he is retiring in four months. I finally found Jeff and we headed up the trail. We did a long loop around Furman then went up the trail. We stopped at the TRee House where I saw Gene and Ragan. I talked with Ragan a while, since I hadn't seen her in ages. I got a sweet bun for Cissi and my café au lait. Jeff and I talked outside for a while, then we started south. Jeff pulled off at the gazebo and I saw Kevin Smith. Kevin talked and talked. We finally headed south again and Jeff pulled off at the Swamp Rabbit Café to get a drink and a snack. I bought a couple of hibiscus drinks to take home. I dropped Jeff off at Broad Street, then headed for the park and home. I stopped and talked with Pat while climbing Hillside.
