Today I rode the Trek to the tennis courts at Cleveland Park where I met Ken and Steve S. We headed north but looped the old dog park first. We ran into Steve Y at the F-86 memorial. The trail through the parks was very crowded with walkers and a hazard to ride through. Once we cleared the parks and were as far north as the Cafe the foot traffic cleared off a bit. We rode north up the trail then onto the Furman campus to circle the lake. Ken always rides out to the tower, but some crazy woman was on the path and was yelling at Ken and took a swing at me. Every now and then there are people on the trail that ought to be locked up. We rode on around the lake, then up the trail to TR. We turned around across from the creperie and started south. Steve wanted a coffee, so we rode to McDonalds and got coffees. I had a decaf with creamer. The ride south was much faster as it is mostly downhill and the wind was behind us. The trail was pretty clear until we got back to the parks. We looped the dog park again, then I climbed the big hill to get home. It was a good New Years Day ride with one crazy woman.
