This morning I rode the Trek from home to the tennis courts where I met Mark and Ken. We started off looping around the old dog park then followed the trail through the parks until we reached Washington Street. We turned right on Washington and took the trail extension over Close to Birds Fly South, then took the next trail extension to Old Buncombe Road. We followed Old Buncombe north, crossed over Poinsett Highway, then crossed White Horse Road. I was ahead of Ken and Mark when we crossed over the trail and they turned south on the trail while I crossed over it and followed Old Buncombe into TR and got on the trail at the Gazebo. I followed the trail north and turned around across from the creperie and went down the the sidewalk and stopped at the TReehouse. I had a cup of decaf and a fruit cup. I got a text from Ken that they had turned back. Once back on the trail my fingers were really cold for a couple of miles. The trail was pretty deserted today, so I was able to hustle down the trail easily. I stopped by the falls to take a picture and my phone died. So I lost the last 5 1/2 miles of my ride on Strava. I rode on down the trail and looped the dog park and rode to the Y entrance to push my miles to 30. I rode back through the park and climbed the big hill to get home.
