I left the house on the Surly today to meet Ken and Mark at the tennis courts. We rode up the trail to the north end. Then we rode back to TR and stopped at the TReehouse for a quick coffee. Mark gave Kristen a cash gift of $5,000 to help with her medical issues. She was overwhelmed by his generosity. We each had a drink (my decaf cafe au lait). We rode back down the trail and I stopped at the Swamp Rabbit Grocery and bought some groceries. I loaded both panniers and headed back to the park. I stopped at the tennis courts with Ken and Mark. Then I took Washington to Hillside to climb the big hill with my bike loaded down. I brought home a potato, a sweet potato, some broccoli, some turnips, a box of cherries covered with dark chocolate, a chocolate chunk peanut butter cookie, and a 4-pack of dark cherry soda in glass bottles.
