Today I rode the tSurly to meet Steve S and Ken at the zoo entrance. We headed up the trail, but the temperate weather brought out people by the crowds to the parks and the trail. Ken bulls his way through traffic and I can’t ride like that, so I kept getting dropped. I think that I’ll stop Ken’s Sunday rides while the weather is nice and ride and make up a ride that suits me better. I got dropped early. When I passed Sulphur Springs there was an ambulance on the way and a girl was across the street holding her face. I went by and about a tenth of a mile up there was a splot on the trail with blood splattered all around it. She must have wrecked and hit her face pretty hard - reminding me of my wreck. I saw Ken and Steve at the north end. Then we went to the TRee House. Don and Lynda were there with Lynda’s daughter. I had my decaf au lait with a fruit cup. I got dropped again going down the trail. Then a bar fell off my luggage rack. I picked it up but it’s missing a screw. By then Don and Lynda were back with me. I cut off at the orange line and took the Hampton Avenue Bridge back to town and crossed downtown on Broad Street. In the park I looped back to take the Woodland Way hill, but my chain came off. I put it on, but looped back to the zoo entrance and stopped at the restroom. I took Washington to climb the big hill at Hillside to get home. I enjoyed meeting Don and Lynda and their daughter, but the ride was a bust!
