Today was a rerovery ride up and down the trail. I rode to the tennis courts and met Ken to ride it. I saw, while riding to the park, that they are tearing out the foundation and pads in and along the creek from the old railroad tressle. The tressle has been gone for several years, but the foundation and pads were still there. Now they are getting rid of them as part of the river and creek restructuring. I met Ken and he set a hard pace up the trail for me having tired legs. We stopped at the bridge on the lake at Furman - the pollen had my nose running and the sweat was burning my eyes badly. There was a heron sitting there, several turtles, some ducks, and a goose and a swan that were making a lot of racket. We headed on up the trail and turned around across from the Tandem Creperie. We rode back to the north side of the Furman campus where we pulled off to talk to Officer Kevin. While talking to him Howie pulled in to add to the fracas. We rode back down the trail and stopped at the Cafe. I had a little water and looked at a refitted Shasta trailer where they were selling sustainable clothes. We rode back to the park and stopped to look where the tressle used to be. From there I climbed the big hill home.
