Today I drove to meet the guys at Cleveland Park - Ken, Mark, Don H and me. We took off and Don headed for Paris Mountain. He thought that Ken had said we were going to ride the mountain today, but we turned back to head up the trail. I started riding with Mark and we chatted a bit, then Ken dropped back to talk to Mark and I rode ahead and rode with Don the rest of the day. I have always liked Don, but we don’t talk often. Today we rode to our turn-around spot across from Sunrift Outfitters and we usually decide where to snack or eat. Today Ken wanted to get right home and Don wanted to stop at the Swamp Rabbit Cafe. I had been thinking about eating there, so I told Don that was fine by me. We headed back down the trail with Don and me leading Ken and Mark. We rode as far as the Cafe, then Ken and Mark rode on while Don and I went in for a snack. Don had the lentil soup with sweet tea while I had a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich with black cherry soda. We talked for a good while there, then I headed on down the trail while Don turned off at Washington Street to ride home. Once back in the park I knew that I was short of a quarter, so I did a loop in the park to make it up.
