I rode from the house to the zoo for the Spinners' Sunday Ride. Nine of us left the zoo to ride - Cato, Ken, Peter, Kimberly, Mark, Bill, Annette, Michael, (Annette and Michael are both new riders), and me. We headed up the trail, although we split up between the zoo and Linky Stone Park. Ken and Cato always go through Falls Park while Bill always goes across town to avoid Falls Park. I went with Bill across town. We regathered at Linky Stone and headed on up the trail. We stopped at the site of the old Meadowbrook Park, then at Bootlegger's Corner at Fat Ma's.Kimberly cut out there as she had someone else to ride with. We rode on north and cut through the Furman campus. After we left Furman Mickael stopped to turn back. He said that his legs were like jelly and he couldn't go on. We told him that we were onlyo 2 miles from teh Forest and that we would stop for a drink and snack before turning back. Ken, MIchael, and I stopped at the Forest while the rest rode out toward Tubbs Mountain. I had a wild fruit parfait with a Black Cherry soda and bought a blueberry muffin for Cis. Cato cuts off in TR and Peter cut off at Roe Ford Road. The rest of us went on down the trail. In town Bill and I cut across town while the rest wwent through Falls Park. We chatted some more at Cleveland Park, then I headed for home. Michael rides in on East North Street, so I showed him my cut through the Overbrook area. It's a tough hill, but still easier than the East North Street hill.
