a ride with Jerry, Gene, Bill and me. The climbs sapped stamina. The descents were an invigorating thrill.
Jerry flatted on the ride back. He found a shady spot for repair. his spare tube was defective (the Presta valve core disappeared). It became necessary to patch the flatted tube but the vulcanizing fluid was evaporated in an unopened unused package. My patch kit to the rescue! We used a glue-free patch and a CO2 cartridge from my kit to get Jerry back on the road. The patch held for about ten miles and got Jerry back within a 1/2 mile of his car. https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/874091350
