I took off on the Trek and headed toward Cleveland Park. I wandered around the post office area and crossed the new walk bridge off Hampton Avenue. I rode out Old Buncombe and discovered that I forgot to turn on my blinkies and stopped to light them up. When I crossed Sulphur Springs Road and truck blew his horn at me and some woman screamed to ride on the sidewalk. He had a lot of opportunity to pass me, but didn’t. He was a jerk and that woman was a crank. Then I was passed by a matched group of 3 riders heading to Paris Mountain. Then I rode up Old Buncombe to the trail at the Gazebo and followed the Trail to the north end and turned around. I tried to cut over to Tubbs Mountain Road, but the road didn’t go through. I came back on the trail and ran into Veronica from Agape. I cut through to Tubbs Mountain and then crossed 25 to Walmart. I stopped at Murphy USA to get a Propel and some women was jumping all over the clerk. I rode back via Davidson Road and saw my church friend Pete outside and stopped to talk with him. When I got to Parker and Dreamland and Crescent, the riding was pretty tough. It was also tough riding around the gold course before that. I missed the turn to get to Timber and came out on State Park Road at Worley Road. I took State Park to Beverly and worked my way across town. I stopped at Holmes Park to use the restroom. From there it was an easy jaunt home.
