 Commute#111 (88 commuter days)
Lately, Not much in the way of multiple commute days, but I had a good run during the Summer months.

The changing season and my bus driving routine, is restricting bike commutes to one round trip daily at this point. Most days it's in to the bus garage at midmorning, with a return home in the afternoon. Feels practical and economical.

To date, 86 of my 111 commutes have been with the EG Zurich e-bike; The bike has transported me 1,560.52 commuter miles in 88:28:05 hours, at an average speed of nearly 18mph;

The e-bike has increased my average speed and cadence. While the physical effort per minute is about the same as with a non electric bike, the shorter commute time, due to faster average speed, equates to less effort per mile. An unexpected benefit has been an increase in average cadence. This has translated to an increase in an overall output effort on non electric bikes.

Electric bikes lend an aspect of versatility on the bike commute. There are multiple benefits for using an e-bike. They are a blast to ride! They can help you get there quicker with the same or less effort. Then too, using an e-bike with a workout goal is as simple as reducing motor output, and adding more rider effort. With the reduced electric output, an e-bike can be a challenging workout.
