This morning I rode down to the zoo and met Steve, then we rode to the Cafe to meet the Swamp ROMP and ride with them. Today 8 of us took off to ride. Joe, Gary, Steve (who was riding a fixie), 3-Wheel Steve (who was riding a Dahon fold up bike), Seneca (on a very odd recumbent), Cat, Lynn, and me. The group kind of strung out and reorganized several times. That was fun as it gave me the opportunity to ride and talk with several different riders. I started off riding with Seneca. We talked about his recumbent. It is different from many recumbents and he has done a lot of the customizing on it himself. Then I quizzed him about the fire at Proterra since he is an engineer at Proterra. He told me that he wasn't allowed to talk about a lot of it, but we did have a general discussion about it. I also spent a fair amount of time riding with Gary. I think that he was on a ride with me before, but we didn't get to know each other then. I also spent a fair time riding with Lynn. He's really a cool guy but we talked more today than normally. We rode to TR then on to the north end of the Trail. Seneca and Joe stopped behind the Sunoco sation a little south of the north end to avoid the little hill coming back. We rode back into TR as a group, but Seneca and I were separted from the group in TR. Then I stopped at the Forest to see a decorative wall out behind the store. When I came to the south end of TR Seneca was stopping for a pit stop and I waited for him. We caught the group at the RR car at Furman which is where we also met Michael that rides with us in Ken's group. He joined us and we rode together as a group to the Cafe. There Joe decided that Mac's Speed Shop would be a good place to eat. We rode to town and Mac's is across from the Fluor Field. We had a great time eating and talking. I had a BLT sandwich that was fit for a king and potato salad. I sat close to Joe, Steve Y, Cat, and MIchael. We had a good time talking. Then most of the group headed back to the Cafe, while Steve and I rode around the stadium and down to Cleveland Park and the zoo. He left there and I rode the rest of the way home. It was a fun ride!!
