Today I rode the Surly from the house to go to the Agape Center at Furman. It was very windy out there. Billy D from church said that he saw me on East North Street. The wind was pretty tough in a lot of places. Riding up the trail I saw Joe F and heard either Wilson or Bob from the Swamp ROMP call my name. Later I passed Art from the Swamp ROMP headed the other direction. I rode on to Furman and met my conversation partner Oscar for lunch. I had a salad with him and we had a good conversation. He is still struggling with his English, but he is improving. From there I rode around the lake and on to Travelers Rest and turned around across from the creperie to head back down the trail. I rode down the trail and stopped at the Cafe and had a Rosemary Peach Smoothie. I also bought a peach caramel doughnut and a peanut butter chocolate chunk cookie to take home for Cissi. After that I rode back into town and into the parks. Darilyn was at the tennis courts and we talked for a good while. From there I rode up the big hill to get home. This is the first time that I rode the Surly up the big hill since before I passed out on it. It was in the mid 90s and there were no issues.
