This morning I rode from the house down to Cleveland Park and got on the trail to ride north. After I rode by the Cancer Survivor’s Center I saw a skinny old lady standing next to the trail smoking a pipe. I rode through Falls park and up the trail through Furman and turned back at Roe Ford Road. Once back to the lake entrance at Furman I turned to ride counterclockwise around the lake. Once on campus many of the streets and sidewalks were closed, so I took a very convoluted path around the lake. As I was about to leave the lake there was a blue heron standing on a fallen limb next to the lake. The ride back down the trail was uneventful, although I really struggled to climb the big hill at Overbrook coming home. Today’s ride included some stout hills - the hill behind the lake at Furman, the Ovebrook Hill, and my hill.
