Ken is out with a pinched nerve, but Steve S led the ride and Don Y rode along. Erica texted and was running late so I waited for her. She was about 25 minutes late, so we got a very late start. The wind had a real bite to it and it was stout all the way up the trail. We rode through the park as it has been reorganized and were back on the trail at the Cancer Survivor’s Center. We rode up the trail, but it was kind of a slugfest fighting the wind and being bundled up. We turned around across from Sunrift Outfitters then stopped at the Treehouse Coffee Shop. I got a cup of decaf and had a selection of mixed nuts with dried cranberries, cherries, and raisins. We sat with Steve and Don about 10 minutes before they started back down the trial. We finished our snacks and drinks about 10 minutes later then we headed back down the trail. In the time that we were in the Treehouse, it clouded over and the wind slowed down. But the ride back down the trail was much faster and also chillier. We did make a slight detour by the root tree and climbed that hill to assure a quarter when we stopped.
